COVID-19 Safety Protocols
The health and safety of Lucky Duck Lashes staff and clients is our highest priority.
We want all of our clients, and anyone thinking about getting a service from us, to feel 100% safe and comfortable coming into our studio. We want to assure you, we have the most stringent protocols in place to protect all of us from illnesses. We want to share our established protocols, as will as our newly implemented changes, so you know what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you, when coming to your appointment.

During your appointment, you and I will both wear masks, as I am inches from your face for up to three hours at a time.
Masks work by creating a physical barrier to respiratory droplets and are very effective at preventing the spread of colds and viruses.
If you are getting a facial waxing service, like a lip or chin wax, the mask may be removed temporarily. I will reposition it, once the service is finished.
Please bring your mask with you to your appointment. While I try to keep a few disposable masks for emergencies, I cannot guarantee that I will always have them.

I use a hospital grade disinfectant called Rejuvenate, to disinfect all of the surfaces in the studio.
I also use it to wipe down all tools that cannot be soaked in Barbicide.
Rejuvenate kills Hepatitis B & C viruses, HIV, MRSA, and and most importantly SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
I block out time in between each client, so that I can thoroughly disinfect all of the surfaces in my studio, including the lash table, iPad, credit card machine, door knobs, etc.
I have removed all of my bed linens that come in contact with clients, and have replaced them with a wipeable sheet that can be easily disinfected.
I also use poly-backed paper under each clients head that is disposed of at the end of each appointment.

I book a block of time in between each client not only to sanitize and disinfect the studio, but to also have a little breathing room so that I don't run into my next appointment time.
So it is very rare that a client will have to wait for me, unless they are early to their appointment.
If you are early you can either shoot me a text to see if I can take you early, or you can wait in the waiting area until your appointment time.
There is a waiting area outside of the Lucky Duck Lashes studio door.
The chairs are spaced far apart for social distancing purposes. It is also usually a low traffic area, due to the nature of the other businesses in the suite.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you'd like to come in early!

While we are still accepting traditional payment methods, like cash and chipped cards, you are welcome to use one of the following contactless payment options:
-You can pay online, before your appointment. Just click on the "Pay for Appointment" button at the bottom of your confirmation or reminder emails.
-You can use Apple or Google Pay from your phone. You will open your mobile wallet, and hold your phone in front of our Square reader.
-Our square reader also accepts contactless debit and credit cards. Just hold your card in front of the reader.
Signatures are no longer required and receipts will automatically be sent to the email on file.
Not only do these new protocols limit the amount of contact you have with the surfaces in the studio, they also help expedite the checkout process.

Should you or anyone in your household come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please stay home.
Should anyone in your household be sick, but you are not, please stay home.
If there is any doubt in your mind if you should come to your appointmet or not, please stay home.
My Late Cancellation policy waiver applies to this situation as well, because I would much rather be safe than sorry!

Any tool that is used in a service, that is not disposable, is cleaned, sanitized with alcohol, and placed in a glass container of Barbicide.
Barbicide is EPA approved broad-spectrum disinfectant that has been proven effective against HIV-1, Hepatitis, MRSA, H1N1, and of course COVID-19.
The tools are then removed, dried, and placed in a drawer.
Any tool or supply that cannot be disinfected or is not meant to be reused, is thrown away.
This procedure was one of the first things I was trained in during my esthetics licensing. It is ingrained in me and is like second nature.
Rest assured, every tool that you are exposed to at Lucky Duck Lashes, has been properly cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected.

Hand washing is a constant throughout my day.
I wash my hands as soon as I get to work, before setting up for a client, before and after each client, after cleaning up and disinfecting my space for the next client, right before I leave the studio, and many times in between.
We go though a lot of paper towels!
And I encourage you to do the same. You are welcome to use the bathroom down the hall to wash your hands before coming into the studio, and after as well!
Washing our hands is a super easy, simple, and effective way to limit the spread of yucky viruses and bacteria.

If you are sick, in any way shape or form, STAY HOME.
Even if you think it allergies, food poisoning, a cold, whatever. STAY HOME
Because I think it is so important for you to stay home and get well, than come into the studio and potentially share whatever you got going on. I have temporarily put a pause on my "Late Cancellation" policy.
This means, if you are legitimately sick and need to cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, I will waive the late cancellation charge.
If you do decide to come to your appointment sick or under the weather:
-your appointment will be immediately cancelled
-you will be sent home
-and you will be charged for the full amount of the scheduled service
There are no exceptions and no excuses, especially with the late cancellation charge waiver.

No guest or children are allowed to accompany you to your appointment.
I work on an appointment only basis, so there are never walk-ins to the studio.
I also do not double book myself.
One-on-one appointments allow for easier social distancing in the studio. which is ultimately safer for you and I.
By doing this, I limit the risk for potential exposure to us both.
